Lotus Traveler - Mail Server Timeout?

I have a question about Traveler.

It looks as though when the mail server for the users accessing traveler goes down, it automatically fails over to the clustered server we have. Currently, there is not real time clustering with that server so when they fail over to that server that is accessible while the users main mail server is down, it keeps that as there current setting and they stop receiving mail. We have to end up reconfiguring their Traveler for it to work again.

My questions is, is there a setting that we can extend so that while that server is down for backup over the weekend, it won’t fail over and users can begin getting mail again once the server is available?
