Lotus Traveler and message disclaimers

I’ve tried searching around for this but haven’t had much luck - can anyone tell me if it’s possible to apply disclaimers to e-mails sent from Traveler devices? Is it simply a case of setting up a disclaimer on the server? If so, would this configuration be done on the Traveler server?

Thanks in advance

Subject: Nope

Long story short there is no way for Traveler to add a disclaimer. It must be done via policy or other (mail.box) methods.

Subject: Solution

You can achieve full email signatures including company logo, personal information, colours and fonts if you use Crossware Mail Signature.

Crossware Mail Signature is a server based add-in that extends the functionality of domino and traveler to allow consistent disclaimers inserted at the right point in the email. Being server based, the signatures are tamper proof, can be implemented without hacking your mail template or mail.box.

There is a free trial available at www.crossware.co.nz - give it a go.

Subject: RE: Lotus Traveler and message disclaimers - it is possible

This is possible and is not specific to Traveler.

Mail routing disclaimers work for mail sent through Traveler because Traveler sends the mail through the same mail.box nsf’s as Notes on the PC does. So, if you set up the Configuration Settings on the router to add a disclaimer, it will apply to mail sent from Traveler devices as well.

Traveler sends mail through the mail.box files on the user’s mail servers, so this would need to be setup on the mail servers (not the Traveler server unless it is also one of your mail servers).

If you want to have disclaimers only in Traveler, that isn’t available, but I don’t think that is what you are asking for.
