Lotus traveler 8.5

I have been testing the security features of traveler before rolling it out to my users. Did the remote wipe - worked well.

But now - when I reinstall and then try and configure traveler - it fails - telling me that my user ID has been locked out for security reasons.

I deleted the device record from the “Messaging” - “IBM Lotus Notes Traveler” section of the admin. in case that has any bearing.

Anyone know how to reinstate the ability to use traveler?

Subject: Traveler clear wipe

Run this command to clear the wipe action from Domino console:

tell traveler security flagsremove all

You can use * for device ID to clear all devices for a particular user.

Subject: resolved - thanks!

Thanks for that Corey, worked great!

Do you know where there is a definitive list of commands regarding Traveler? Google has given me the odd result but there doesn’t seem to be a help file per se, or comprehensive documentation on the workings and admin of the product.

cheers, Tom

Subject: Check the Notes Information Center for a full list of traveler commands.

Look under Notes Traveler - Administering the server - Console Commands.

Thanks for that Richard,

I did look there but they don’t list the security flags I needed - just basic commands.

Subject: Traveler console help…

at the domino console type:

“tell traveler help” to get basic commands.

or

“tell traveler security help” to get security related commands.

Any ideas anyone? I am wanting to recreate my user or device record - I can’t figure out how to do that by copy an existing record and changing to my details and resaving as missing record.

The device reports that this user ( me ) is locked out and is waiting for the device to check in - but it won’t check in as it’s locked out…
