Lotus Script compiler - syntax error - but where

I used LS compiler (tools → compile all scripts)

The compliler complains that there is a syntax error in the form. I can open and save the form without any errors, the form runs fine without any errors (haven’t tested all but so far no errors).

Where can I find the particular line/ module LS compiler is referring to?

Hi JJ,

I’ve had these sorts of issues before where it is almost as though Compile All Scripts is working on cached code that contains error you have since debugged.

Copying the element and deleting the original has worked to clear the error for me in the past. So has copying the form into a new database - compiling all then flags the line generating the error when it wouldn’t before.

Further…

Saving NEVER make someone sure that the syntax is correct…

The best is to close, re-open, re-read the code (yes !), delete any import (use lines), re-import, and so…

Then the designer may tell the wrong line.

I think the compiler error only came up after I mistakenly duplicated %LSCONST in 2 shared libs. I removed the duplicate but since then I cannot get a successful compile.

Yeah, I will try out the suggested and the last resort will be copying a code to new database. I have lots of code and it is a pain to copy manually to a new database.

btw, is there a fast way of copying codes/forms/database triggers other than drag and drop into new db?

I am still not trusting the template thingy. The LS help says that somethings are not transferred. I haven’t used it enough to get a understanding of the glitches / exceptions etc.
