Lotus r6 converts <table> to <table width=100%>

I’ve used a html signature for a while in r5 and when updating to r6 the same signature get spread over the screen in an ugly way because the

tag automatically get converted to a
by the R6 lotus client.Anyone know how to disable or avoid this?

The table tag doesn’t get converted if i set a fixed width, but i’m not interested in this solution.
