Lotus Notes Traveler

What is basic requirement from ISP (mobile service provided) for lotus notes traveler to work.

What setting we have to do at our end for lotus notes traveler route mail to ISP & vice versa.

Please suggest.

Hello - not sure I understand the question, but here is a basic scenario:

You would install Lotus Notes Traveler on the server. When you start Traveler for the first time it will make any necessary config changes to the Domino Server. Once installed and running you then install the Traveler client on the mobile device. The clients can be found at http://serverhostname/traveler/index.html

From a setup point of view, that is usually it. There are a few other details to keep in mind though:

  1. Traveler uses port 80 (http) or port 443(https) for data traffic and uses port 8643 for notifications. That means both 8642 and 80 or 443 need to be open to the server if using a firewall etc.

  2. We recommend unlimmitted data plan for the Mobile device as all traffic is considered data transmission. For more info on data plans and ensuring your device is properly configured to send/recieve data contact your plan administrator.
