Lotus Notes Quota ( Help ! )

I have notes client 6.5 and i have a quota on my database on the server (500MB) , when this has been excedded i cannot create or edit untill i delete some huge email , but the local database physically is on the local and should not restrict me when 500 MB has been reached as i understand the local replicat depends on the local space and should not receive any quota restriction ,iam i right ?? if yes is there a way how to keep my local not be restricted due to network quota as i use my local for replicating when i am connected remotely ??? I would appreciate any suggestion to help me keep my local safe from quota restriction.Thank you.

Your local replica will replicate with your server, and as a result will push the file size up on your server replica. If your administrator has implemented this, you can’t get around it. Instead, why not create a local archive database?
