Lotus Notes on Citrix

Hi there, I have Lotus notes R7 Installed on Citrix with the data files on the users home drive. What would be the best why to get another application to integrate with each users Notes Install?

I know on a standard installation you can use the nlsxbe.dll but because I have the data directory (including the notes.ini) on the home drive I cant get the nlsxbe.dll to pick it up.

Basically the application that we have has the option the log into your mail file and download individual emails from your mail file into this application.

Before Notes R7 and on a stand-alone installation we used an application called IDS Mail but this is not supported on MS Windows 2003 Server (Our Citrix Server).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Willem

Hi WillemThere is a multitude of possibilities. Depends on how you want to handle it. Notes could export the mails with an agent on the server which should be rather simple in you case or if you want to import in the other application you can use as interface odbc, jdbc or even notes sql. But all depends on how you want to use it. Do the users the export manually or is there a logic and it is donne by the application?

I would say, that an Notes-Agent that can run scheduled or manually could be built in a short time and deployed via the

mail template. Or if you want it the other way round, COM or JAVA are also possibilities. But I at least should know more about it first.

Cheers

Is there any particular reason you’re not using a multi-user Notes install? That way the DLL’s would be on the C drive for every user.
