I am having problems with a machine which refuses to show the time column. This person does not have the column in her inbox, her folders or other peoples inbox’s. I would understand if it were just one folder as this would be down to the folder design but for it to be lost everywhere on her machine is most odd. I have had a look around the user prefernces and had a little google but turned up nothing. before i go and re-install the Notes client on her machine does anyone have any ideas?

It doesn’t sound like a client issue to me. If you open her Inbox, do you see a time column? I would consider removing the $Inbox folder and refreshing the database from the template.

If i open her mail file then i have the time column ok. When she opens other databases they have no time column. For example if she opens any mail in databse then the time column is lost.
