Lotus Notes native 64bit on Vista

Hello Forum!

We have some Vista 64bit Workstation and i would like to install the eclipse client with native 64bit. If i install the normal version for windows 32&64 bit the program files will be installed in the (x86) directory of vista. It seems so that this is not native 64bit!

How can i install the client with native 64bit support? Does anybody have a workaround?

Thanks!

Bernd

Only Domino servers are supported on 64-bit I believe.

Accept the default installation path and Notes 8.0.2 will run quite fine, but rather use a Multi User install to save messing around with UAC and permissions for Notes data under Program Files. With Notes data below the user home folder, you can use Notes Roaming for user data backup, but the path will be longer than 260 characters so you will not be able to roam the “workspace” folder using login scripts.

I have to use 64-bit for my work to get the RAM for VMs so I have no choice really.

Some plugins will not install on 64-bit, like Quickr Connectors, but since I mainly use Ubuntu I am used to not having the Connectors in Notes.

Subject: don’t think there is one. Do you really need > 4 GByte in Notes ?
