Lotus notes: Mail-in Database - Calender reminder notification issue

We have a mail-in database which is shared by a group. I am trying tocreate a calerdar entry with notification (eg events, reminder etc)… I

want the notification to be sent to few email addresses… I tried the

option in ‘Alarm settings’ but I have not received any mails… Not sure

whether there is a setting that should be activated… (my calender

preferences indicate that the alarm is enabled)… Any help is

appreciated…

I have access to mail-in database and my personal mail in Notes… Alarm

setting and notification works with my personal id but not from the

mail-in database

alarms work based on the mail file that is listed in your location document.

Alarms are by default are sent to the mail file owner. The calendar profile (use notespeek or Noteman by MartinScott to check that profile doc) will have the mail file owner name that is set for the database. Mail-in databases often do not have this set to a real user. Without this value, the alarm will not be sent.
