It has happend twice in 2 days. I open the notes client normal and all is fine. I open the designer normaly and all is fine. but when I do a file, database , open in the designer, it locks up both the designer and the client. to the point that windows Task Manager shows them as not responding. I have deleted the database that I was opening from the server. I have shut down and restarted notes and windows. I have tried Zapnotes, then I can open the client and its ok, but when I click on the designer icon to open designer it locks them both up again. Has anyone seen this before and if so what can I do about it other then reloading notes?

Sounds like there’s something in the database that Designer is finding very hard to open. Go to Island when you start up, and remove the offending database bookmark from the Recent Databases folder in Designer. You should be able to go back to your normal location again afterwards. I don’t know, though, that you’ll be able to open the database you’re after.
