Lotus notes keep asking for password

I see this problem once in a while in different users and different computer.When user leave their computer, and lotus notes client locked, and when user try to use the lotus notes client again, lotus notes keep asking for password, and the user input the correct password.

Usually I shutdown the notes client with nsd.exe -kill (because the normal shutdown does not work), but the problem is, after the lotus notes start, it will start the never ending “performing consistency check” proses."

Is there any solutions?

BTW, I never see this kind of problem in my previous notes client 6.5.

did you check that they are NOT activ?

No, the caps lock and the num lock is not active.After kill the notes client, we can use the password as usual.

If the caps lock or num lock active, notes client will give error message that password is not correct, but in this case notes client accept the password but then asking the password again.
