Lotus notes installtion error

I am installing Lotus Notes 8.5 on Windows Xp professional with SP3. When I run the setup it gives following error

The wizard was interrupted before Lotus notes 8.5 could be completely installed.

your system has not been modified.To complete installtion at another time,please

run setup again.

Click Finish to exit the wizard.

Any suggestion

Please post some background, such as if Notes was ever on this machine, if it is a clean install/upgrade, etc.
