I was at Lotusphere last week and I could not get an answer on the PC requirements for Lotus Notes 8. Does anyone know where or when these might be published?
Thank you.

Subject: Lotus Notes 8 PC requirements
I visited the labs at Lotusphere and couldn’t nail anyone down to PC requirements for the Notes 8 client either. However, I was told that they intend to make the Notes 8 RCP (Rich Client Platform) “functional” with 512MB RAM. The “traditional” (non-Eclipse) version of the Notes 8 client should have about the same PC requirements as the Notes 7 client.
You will be able to deploy the Notes 8 client as the new Eclipse-based RCP client and/or as the “traditional” Notes client. Certain features, such as the Productivity Tools (ODF word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation tools) and Composite Applications will only be available within the Notes 8 RCP client.

These will probably be assessed once the beta program has progressed. I would think that the release notes for the beta will have some general specifications.

Chris,
Thanks for the quick response. I had a feeling the requirements had not been finalized. I’ll keep checking the IBM ND8 page for any updates.
Thanks!
