Lotus Notes 8.5 crashes at startup

I just installed the new Lotus Notes client 8.5 on my Macbook Pro (osx 10.5.6).The instalation goes oke, i enter de domino server and my credintials and then it crashed everytime i enter my password.

Do not see much in the log’s perhaps de following:

Subject: Crashing

Did you have a previous version of Notes installed before, if so did you remove it or just “upgrade” to 8.5 Gold? I had the 8.5 beta, and tried just upgrading to gold and had issues, the main one was it just hanging on the Splash Screen. I killed the process, ran the uninstaller, then re-installed Notes and it is fine now.

Subject: Crashed after login

I had Lotus Noutes 7.02 installed but i uninstalled it firstIt crashes after the login, you see a short, loading notes progress bar and then nothing!

Subject: Thank you for reporting this issue.

Could you please do new clean install Notes 8.5 by following the below steps:

1.Remove /Applications/Notes.app

2.Remove /Receipts/Lotus Notes Installer_English.pkg

3.Remove /Receipts/Lotus Notes Installer.pkg

4.Remove /Receipts/xpdcoreinstaller.pkg

5.Back up your data folder ~/Library/Application Support/Lotus Notes Data

6.Back up your preferences file ~/Library/Preferences/Notes Preferences

7.Then do a new install
