I had installed 20 Lotus Notes 8.0.2 client installed on Win XP and the Lotus Domino Server 6.5.5 installed on Win 2003.
All the client working fine except 4 of the client facing the hang problem after enter the password. I can see there is 2 home tab with the blank blue screen. The problem still remain even i had restart the PC.

I “solved” it by adding “-bla” as a parameter to notes.exe … then it showes an error but notes starts. I know it’s very dirty but as long as everybody is able to work it’s better than nothing.

A quick an easy solution that may work would be to rename the bookmark.nsf file then relaunch notes.
If you are still having issues and you are running the standard version of notes (notes.exe) you could also try renaming the workspace directory which is located under your notes\data directory. When you relaunch notes that directory will be recreated and may help with the situation.

I know there is some workaround like rename the bookmark.nsf, workspace folder, delete cache.ndk and add the ENABLE_EARLY_AUTHENTICATION=0 in the notes.ini. Since this was the common issue that doesn’t effect every user but there are many customer report. Does IBM come out with the fix/patches that solve this problem? Please advice. Thanks
