Lotus Notes 8.0.1 roaming profile issue

For some strange reason known only to IBM - when the Lotus Notes 8.0.1 client is configured by a new user - it writes to the Local Settings directory of the userprofile

Local Settings by default is excluded from roaming profiles

So in our setup - running Lotus Notes on Citrix Terminal Server - the user configures the client - it works - but when they logoff changes are lost

Has anyone managed to get round this annoying issue - how can this product be called enterprise - just because some developer put the settings file in a ridiculous part of the user profile ??

Is there an option to change the userdata folder during the installation? I think this would fix this issue.

The datafolder can be changed during the installation but this works only in an singleuser environment.
