I would like to know if there is a problem to use Lotus Notes version 6.51 with a Domino server version 6.0.1 CF1 (for a short period)
Subject: I haven’t had any troubles yet.
I’m running several 6.5.1 Notes clients against a Domino 6.0.1.CF1 server (on AIX) and haven’t had any problems yet with the version mix-match. In fact we’ve got a mixture of clients ranging from 6.0.1 all the way up to 6.5.1 and probably have the most problems with the 6.0.1 thru 6.0.2 clients. The 6.0.3 and 6.5.1 clients seem the most stable, and at each workstation we encounter ill behavior of the Notes client, installing the 6.5.1 client seems to fix the problems. We will be migrating the server from AIX over to 6.5.1 on a Windows 2003 machine soon, since the AIX version of 6.5.1 requires AIX 5 or later, and we only have 4.3.3 on a big multiprocessor RS6000 box, and have other mission-critical apps running on that box which cannot run on AIX 5 and have to stay on the older O/S.

I am running Server 6.0.1CF1 on OS/400. My desktop clients range from 6.0 to 6.0.3 and I am using admin 6.5.1 client and have had no problems whatsoever. I have been running the admin client since it was released. I don’t think you need to worry about it.
