We have an interesting problem after installing Lotus Domino Server on our Win’2k machine used for testing purposes. We have it connected to a very small LAN (4 pc’s).
Whenever we install Lotus Domino Server R6 everything seems to be fine, UNTIL we reboot. After rebooting, our LAN no longer has internet access. Cannot ping anything EXCEPT from the machine that has domino r6 installed.
We’ve tried installing domino r6 on another machine but the same thing always happens. The LAN pc’s (2 win’2k machines, 1 linux) get internet access via the server’s Remote Routing (RRAS).
Is this some unknown bug, possible related to windows 2000’s RRAS?
The workaround I’ve found was to install it, make a copy of the entire lotus directory and then uninstall the domino server. Then, rename the copied folder to its original name. Now all our pc’s have internet access, even after restarting the server.
