Lotus Domino Server as SMTP

HI,

I have server runing Centos with Postfix acting as smtp proxy to my Lotus Domino.

This Centos Server is responsible to send emails from internet to internal users.

Internet <—> Postfix <----> Domino ↔ users

In my Lotus Domino the services pop3 and smtp are enabled also.

Is necessary the Postfix or the Domino can be directly to Internet and sends/receveis emails from internet to my internal users and vice versa?

Subject: Shouldn’t be any problem

I always used the Domino server as the smtp server directly. just make sure that you have configured the blacklist dns and spam options in the server. and that the firewall is only opened for the services that you want to be exposed to Internet.
