Hi all
For compliance purposes, I’d like to have 2 journalings, one normal journaling to a journal database on our lotus domino server and one to an external smtp server. How can I do that ?
If I put the smtp server address in Mail destination (Router/SMTP) configuration, I loose the journaling in internal journal database…
Thanks for your feedback.
Subject: things to try
-
Create a mail in db (use the journal template) and a mail in db doc that points to that mail in db .
-
Create a mail only group
-
Populate the mail group from step 2 with the mail in db name and the internet address you wish to get the journal emails
-
Populate the Router/SMTP > Advanced > Journaling tab method as Send to mail-in database and Mail destination put the group name

Since you are using mail in option you need to monitor the growth of the db. I would suggest having a scheduled agent that runs from another db that daily creates a new journal db and used a combo of server name & date & time as the filename and then modifies the mail in db doc on that server to point to the newly created file.
