Lotus Domino mail database

Hi,

I would like to ask for assistance regarding the Lotus Domino mail database.

I am developing an application that modifies the mail file locally.

  1. Is there a service in Domino Server that locks the mail database (mail/user.nsf) for editing?

  2. If Yes, Is there a way to check if mail database is currently locked? or a log file ?

Subject: Document locking

You can set the database properties so that documents are locked while in edit mode, but I don’t think there’s an equivalent setting for the entire database.

The only other option that I can think of would be to deny access in the ACL.
