In recent times, we have to face an unexpected problem with Lotus Domino Database accessing. This problem generates a red-colored message box containing the following sentences:
Sorry, an uncorrectable error has occurred.
OSVBBlockAddr: Bad VBlock handle (0\45A0)
Press ENTER to abort the application.
We encounter this problem every day and we are not be able to solve it.
Please explain this case and show us what cause it is and how to solve that problem.
Subject: You are getting what is called a RBOD (Red Box Of Death). In the Data directory for Notes…
there will be an IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT directory. In that directory will be files that can help IBM solve your problem. These files look something like this “nsd_all_W32I_BILLXP_09_16@16_18.log” (note that your machine name will appear in the middle). Examine them in a Text editor and look for “FATAL THREAD”. Below that will be some of the call stack that should be causing the problem. Are you really using version 6.0?

Thanks a lot for your reply!
We develop with Lotus Notes/Domino Release 6. As you showed us, there are some .log files with the same name. After we met the RBOD, we had met the second message box which indicates that NSD was running, etc.
However, please show us how to solve that problem. Could some new releases or r-next of Lotus Notes/Domino make good that problem ? Or, what fixpak should we download to repair ?
