hello all. I am new to administering a Lotus Domino Server running on Red Hat Linux. The Lotus Domino Administrator client is installed in a Windows XP Desktop. We have been using this client to administrate the server. Yesterday one of my colleagues detected a virus on the Desktop machine and initialized a Kaspersky Antivirus scan on the machine. Unfortunately after the scan was complete Kaspersky had deleted all .exe (executable files). This means that we are now unable to start the Lotus Domino Administrator application as its executable was deleted by Kaspersky. We are at a loss as we cant do any administration on the server. Just wondering, how can we go about repairing or reinstalling the Lotus Domino Administrator application? thanks.

Hi Gakii,
You can try running the All-Client Installation executable again on that machine. It should then detect the previous installation and ask you if you would like to Modify, Repair, or Uninstall. Try selecting “Repair” and see if that resolves the issue. If it does not, I would suggest that you may want to uninstall and reinstall the Client as a whole to prevent any problems that could arise from these deleted .exe files.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
-Bob

Thanks so much. Repair sorted the issue. Is it possible to have the domino admin client installed in more than one machines?
Subject: Multiple Installs Of Admin Client
Yes… You can have the Admin client installed on multiple machines. There is no reason why it would be limited to just one.
