Lotus Domino 8.0.1 Upgrade

Dear All,

We are about to upgrade our Lotus Domino from 7.0.x to 8.0.1. We did a simulation for the upgrade, and it went perfect although it was a small setup environment than our actual.

Does anyone willing to share about their experience or standard and best practice regarding Domino upgrade to its latest version.

I wanted to make sure the what we are doing is according to standard practice.

Any idea would be really a big help.

Subject: Upgrade success

We upgraded a) upgrading Domino servers, b) using a transform file and .msi, and “pushing” the client software to workstations using a Windows policy, c) using the convert utility to upgrade mail files. Everything went okay but remember to deploy Sametime Limited by modifying install.xml.
