Lotus 6.5.2 client and InstallShield Tuner problems

Hello. Just wondering if anyone else has tried to package up the new 6.5.2 client (only client) using the InstallShield Tuner program and has been successful? I can get the final product to install ok, and everything seems to work fine except when an attachment is opened. (Viewing the attachment works fine.) It brings up the error “The feature you have chosen is not available in this version of Notes. To access this feature, you will need to install the shipping version of Notes.” I’m using the client install that I downloded from the passport site. I’m using the .itw file that is in the download to make the transform file.

After 3 weeks of calling Lotus and them promising to send us the CDs next day right away, we finally found out last week that he 6.5.2 CDs had not even been created by Lotus yet. If that error means that it will only work with the client that is on the actual CDs rather than being downloaded do I have to wait for the CDs? Is there a way to get around this that anyone would know of?

Chris, I’ve done this with no problems reported so far, just verified an xls attachment does open as well. Have you tried downloading again? Maybe check the Setup Organization/Features to verify everying is selected for install?:-jmw

John- I actaully had redownloaded the software off of the Passport site before I tried to redo it this last time. Do you remember if you had to change any of the defaults under the Setup Organization/Features? I left everything pretty much as is in there with the defaults.

Chris, I did change the client single logon feature to be installed, it’s off by default. One gotcha I found was the .mst file gets created in your “my documents” folder by default, make sure you are using the right one by checking the time stamp?:-jmw
