Lost Mail

One of our employees in Taiwan sent an e-mail to a user in US. I checked the log in our Taiwan server and I verified that the mail was sent to our US server. The US server log says that it was delivered to the user’s mailbox. However, no mail was ever received in the user’s mailbox. So it looks like something happened in the delivery between the mail.box to the user’s mailfile.

Anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions on how else I can further track this message?

Thanks.

Have you checked to see if the message shows up in the All Documents view in the user’s mail database? It may be that the inbox is corrupted and mail is not being delivered to the Inbox, but will appear in the All Docs viewHTH

Thanks for responding. I did check the All Documents view and the mail isn’t there. I also checked to make sure that his mailfile wasn’t corrupted. He’s receiving other mail in his inbox.

himay be some Reader-Field is in the mail. If your user isn’t listed/included in this field,he will not see it. A hint: if all mails in the users mailbox are marked as read, but the Inbox shows there are unread mails…

And one other thing to try is to open the database and then go to Edit…Unread Marks…Scan UnreadThis may find the document . . . . .
