Lost field names!

Everything was fine until Friday last week. today I ran my database, functions no longer work because the field names in doc.items are not there any more.

Is there any where to fix this?

I can still see the field “fieldA” in the form but if I loop through doc.items, “field A” does not appear.

btw, I have 255+ (280 to be exact) fields defined in the document. Did my document form got corrupted?

This used to work perfectly … don’t know what is the cause!

note:

I did a msgbox ubound(doc.items) and the count is 199 … everything else is not recognised … not gone, but just not recognised!

Subject: lost field names !

Since no one else seems to be responding, I’ll chime in.First, I have not seen anything like it. I would be more inclined to guess that your script is bombin when it hits a corrupt document, tho’ a corrupt form could be a problem too. I don’t think it is the number of fields. The obvious question to start with is, “what changed recently?” After that … can you see the individual fields in a Notes client using the properties box? This would help you determine the extent of any possible corruption? Does it affect all docs or just one? Where is this script running? – from a client? a scheduled agent? Can you run the agent from another context? Are there any errors in the server log?

No errors in the server log.

All docs affected.

No errors, LS just simply cannot “see” the fields … (which happens to be computed fields)…

I cannot see the individual fields in the properties box but I can see it in designer and view (field selector).

The LS script I am running is via a button. The LS script checks the computed fields (e.g. FieldA) and if = “*” then msgbox “Madatory field null”.

Is this a db corruption? Everything else works fine tho … How can I restore the fields?

I basically added a couple of more computed fields, modularized couple of agents and added comments to my code.

Interestingly enough, the formula functions work (e.g. @IF(FIELDA=TRUE; @Success; “”) ), but Lotus Script functions doc.items cannot find those fields.

I wrote a simple LS procedure to loop through doc.items and print out the item names, all computed fields in the tabbed table (which did show up) does not show up now.

I do ubound(doc.items) and it is showing 199 (which should be around 280).

My form basically has a lot of fields for user to fill out each with a computed field showing messages depending on user input into the input field.
