Been using the beta for a while now and, while I like many of the new features, I have suffered 4 odd behaviors.1. Notes sometimes reports “Unable to find path to server” upon startup. If I open… a file and specify the IP address of my e-mail database server, cancel without actually opening anything, then everything works fine. This happens often enough that I’ve had to put the IP address of my server in a note so I can copy and paste it in.

Sporadic crashes followed by a message that the log is being written. Eclipse is left running after this and can be difficult to kill. Sorry I don’t have more details - I’ll collect them next time it happens.

You can put the server name/ server IP binding into /etc/hosts.

The slow typing issue is a known issue which has been fixed in our later daily build.
Bug ID: SLYN7FYDDD Notes RTF caret can not follow my typing sometimes.
- Sporadic crashes followed by a message that the log is being written. Eclipse is left running after this and can be difficult to kill. Sorry I don’t have more details - I’ll collect them next time it happens.
Could you please provide the crash log if it happens for you next time? You can find crash log in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Eclipse_***
- Disappearing windows. Occasionally Notes will still be running, and I can access the windows menu, but no attempt to select or activate a window is successful. The File menu is unavailable and the program must be forced quit
There is a known issue on this, and the fix is included in the next beta which will be available soon.

Subject: Please elaborate

Sorry I don’t understand exactly what you mean. More detail please.
I’ve separately attached a file. Can’t tell where it went - my post didn’t show. I also allowed notes to send the crash log when it restarted from the latest crash. This time I saved the alerts: First alert says “NSD is collecting crash information, please wait”. Second alert says “NSD has completed” and gives a path different than you suggested. I’ll attempt to also attach that file.
