Looking up Siebel Codes into a Notes Database

I have a simple Notes database that is used to track client activity. In the database I have a field that asks for a Siebel opportunitye number. How can I lookup that opportunity directly into Siebel to see if it is valid?

I was referred to Andre Guerrard and Alan Lepofsky.

Can either of you acknowledge receipt of this request, and email both me and Mitch.

Thank you,

you can do this via LotusScript calling ODBCor Java calling JDBC

Or you can have Lotus Script call Java and Java call JDBC

In short yes it can be done if you want on the fly results

If these codes do not change much then you can bring the codes over to a Notes DB on a batch process (LEI, DECS)

then have your active DB do a DBLookup to the lookup db

a Shot in the Dark here:Another option is if Siebel can create web services

then create a web service on Siebel and have your Lotus Notes Application call it and react based upon what the web service returns

Sorry, I do not know what Siebel can or can not do.
