Looking for Documentation on Archiving in iNotes

I am researching and would like to set up archiving for our iNotes clients, but have been unable to find much documentation on this. I am aware that DOLS needs to be set up on the server. Our servers are currently 8.0.2a.

Can anyone point me to some good documentation or have any knowledge good or bad about archiving iNotes clients?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

I set it up for a couple of customers but some few people. The only wa of archiving is like you said, having the DOLS client. It’s an installation of about 100mb (It installs a limited http server like the one in Domino).

To be able to use it, you have to add the DSAPI filter ndolextn(If I remember correctly) in the server document (Internet Protocol - HTTP). Then restart the server.

After that, through iNotes you should see the Online/Offline switch, right next to the Preferences.

You can only archive in Offline mode. And I am currently trying to make the archiving to a network drive, but it gives me an error when I put an absolute path. Only local or server works.

(The name of the DSAPI filter I told you, changes from the platform. That one is for Windows)

Hope it helps

Edit: Corrected the DSAPI filter
