Look what I found!

Being feed up with Notes and MS Exchange, I decided to do a little research to find a better product.

I found an alternative that allows shared calendars, contacts, email, remote access, timesheets, and even has instant messaging. No Server 2000/2003 on Domain required and half the price.

This product sounds like a good product, if it can actually do what it claims that it does. Would anyone happen to have anymore information on this thing?

I am currently a medium sized company and we need a shared calendar, email, and timesheet software. Also important is that we dont want to be spending a fortune either.

Hmmm. Doesn’t begin to do what Notes does, but if it floats your boat…

Only Lotus (IBM) keep on insisting to compare price and feature between Domino/Notes vs. Exchange.

I would prefer - as an alternative to Exchange - OpenExchange.

Take a look at www.open-xchange.org.

Their price is irresistible and have pretty nice features.

Subject: e-mail, Calendaring, Who Gives a Crap?

You act like Lotus Notes is strictly an e-mail and calendaring software product. What about all the custom applications that Notes/Domino developers write that businesses run on? No one checking in and posting on this forum makes their livelihood maintaining e-mail.

And why would anyone be “feed up” with Notes or Exchange? They’re not food.

Unfortunately, in the eyes of many, that’s just what notes does.
