Logs filling with Import/Export Problem (MIME)

Hi All

I upgraded my mail server from 655 to 703 last week. It went swimmingly.

However, since then, my logs have been showing the following error, every so often during the day.

26/02/2008 19:18:32 Import/Export problem: [01054:00012-00012] Failed to get MIME directory because Note item not found

THe number can be different, but always similar.

Last night a mass mailing went out to our customers, and this morning I’ve got page after page of the error message.

My international MIME settings are not enabled. Should they be? And if I enable them, what are the best other settings on the rest of the config document?

Or shall I just lower the level of logging and pretend I haven’t noticed?

Thanks for any help offered

Kirsty

Same problem here, upgrading from 6.5.6FP2 to 7.0.3.

Looks like this line is logged whenever a mail is converted from MIME to CD and the resulting note has no Body item.

This happens on (most? all?) DSN messages.

If you’re getting a lot of these on a mass mailing, this probably means you get a lot of bounces, which is a sign of badly managed recipients list.

If that’s so, then your mail gateway will hopefully get blacklisted very soon.

It’s discussed at the following link. IBM classifies it as harmless, but there is an SPR to review the log_level associated with it.
