Log changes to document

I have an application were I need to track if fields are changed in a document. If a field is changed I need to send an email to a user describing the change. Their could be multiple changes at one time. Is their an easy way to do this. I know I could do it a couple of ways using Script and I don’t mind doing that, but I was wondering if their is some magical formula or something to make it easy.

looks like you go for Lotus Script. I’ve created a sample db with generic code. Feel free to recycle it:

If I had to rewrite it 2day I probably would take a more CLASSy approach… however it works both for client and web.
