Lockup when closing Notes 8.0.2

Hello,

I am having a problem with Notes 8.0.2 on two different computers (Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista SP2).

Every time I exit Notes it hangs. All database windows will close in the Notes client but it will not completely close. I am forced to go into the Windows task manager and kill the notes2w.exe process. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Currently I have 8.0.2 FP5 installed on both computers but the problem has occurred on previous fix pack versions. I tried a full reinstall of Notes but it did not make a difference. I have been running versions in the past that did not have this problem (7, 8.0, 8.0.1, etc.). Not exactly sure what version this started with. I would prefer to run the latest because the most recent fix packs for Notes 8.0.2 contain fixes I need.

I have searched the forums and noticed others complaining about this issue but could not find any solutions.

Subject: Workspace or Day at at Glance

Have you tried renaming the workspace directory and then launching Notes again to have it recreate a new workspace? I hear sometimes the workspace dir can become corrupt.

Also curious if you are using the Day at a Glance Side Bar? If yes, try disabling the Day at a Glance sidebar to see if that makes a difference.

Closing the sidebar has fixed the problem for me on both computers.
