Localhost problem

Greetings,

I’m trying to get the nhttp task to load on the Notes client. Getting an “unable to bind port 80” error when I issue “nhttp preview” from the Notes directory, command line. Logged onto WinXP with admin priv.

I’ve shut down everything in the start-up list using msconfig.exe.

A “netstat -ano” shows nothing on port 80. WinXP firewall is off.

Your ideas on what to try will be most appreciated.

Thanks, Lee

Subject: hosts file

Do you have “localhost” set to something other than 127.0.0.1 in your Workstation’s host-file?

Have a look at this thread:

Subject: Yes, the host file is in place w/ 127.0.0.1 > localhosts

Evan,

I’ve hit all those points from your reference. ESET antivirus with its web stuff is disabled. I can’t figure this one. I have a ThinkPad with same 8.5.1 version and it runs nhttp task just fine on the client.

I’m stuck.

Thanks, Lee
