I have created a policy for archiving to delete items from the inbox and sent view. This policy is defined as “user’s local workstaton”. I have a mail setting policy where I have set the Delete/Remove Preference for the Sent View to “Always Remove”. At the client when I do Actions / Archive / Archive Now the archive process works fine - documents get deleted from the inbox and items in the sent view also get removed and if any of the sent items where in a folder(s) they are not removed from the folder(s).
However, when I change this to be a server based policy and run load comapct -a mail\mymailfile.nsf the remove from inbox works and the items in the sent view are also removed but any sent items that was in a folder(s) is also deleted from the folder(s). This policy appears to not use the “Always REmove” option.
What did I miss in setting up this policy or is there a work around for this?
