Local than server

Hi friends ,

As lotus notes do names lookup in local first by default.Can

something be done that it resolves server names first before local address book.

In the location document under mail in mail addressing you should be able to select ‘Server then Local’. I cannot rememeber if this option is there with 6.5.x as 7.0.2Hope this helps.

I just created a new personal addressbook off 7.0.2 template and the options are still only:Disabled

Local Only

Local then Server

I have been watching to see if there was a solution to this age-old problem. If there is one, it’s not in the location doc… try again.

Hi,

If you want the lookup to be happen with respect to server address book, press F9 (refresh) to attain the lookups.

I’ve just looked at the design of the 7.0.2 personal address book. On the mail tab, in the field labelled ‘mail addressing’, there are 3 options:

Local

Local then Server

Server then Local

The mail addressing tab only shows under certain circumstances (your mail file location has to be set to ‘local’)

The field ‘recipient name type-ahead’ has the options you saw.
