I noticed this phenomenon amongst my users local replicas. Due to travel requirement or being stationed in remote places where bandwitdh for replication may be low, their databases often had failed replication or intermittent completion.
They can be on the road for weeks on end, When they are back on the office, their try to replicate. The task will say complete but the number of documents and a visual check of their inbox shows differences.
Clearing replication history does not work all the time under these circumstances and we have make completely new replicas.
Any one encountered this and is there a solution to this?
