so apparently local encryption was set on a few dbs that we replicated to a NAS drive for ‘deep storage’
I tried to open with the id I created the replicas with to no avail.
how can I open these dbs? I am 99.44 % positive that this one id is in the ACL.
Subject: local encryption
It doesn’t matter what you have in the ACL. You need whatever ID was used to encrypt the dbs. If you don’t have that ID then those dbs are gone for good, sorry to say. If the dbs were encrypted on a server then if you copy them back to the same server you can remove the encryption then copy them back to the NAS drive. Bottom line, without the original ID used to encrypt the dbs you will lose them.
