Local database like Outlook's PST

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a local database to store specific emails from the server database to relieve storage from server? If so, what steps to I use to achive this? (I want to be able to see both the server and local database emails from my one notes client)

Our archive has been turned off by admin. So would it be possible to create a new database (nsf) that I could drag messages from my server to a local drive (delete old msg on server, paste new msg in local)?

In that case your best bet is to talk to your admin for a solution, if he or she controls that for you. If he/she has disabled archiving, I would think there is another way they are keeping the server hard drives from filling up. See what they say…

So we CANNOT have a local database where we could drag and drop from our server database to.
