"Local Address Books"

When addressing a new message by clicking “To”, the box “Select Addresses” appears. The drop-down field “Choose address book” then presents all my server based books, and my single local one (usually named 's Address Book). But, in addition to this one, there is one entry called “Local Address Books”. I can’t find any “Local Address Book”, and when trying to serch this for addresses, this is empty. Why does this entry appear, and where does it come from? How can I get rid of it?

Thanks…

You can specify that Notes use a different file for your Personal Address Book than the default NAMES.NSF in your data directory.

You can configure this by

File - Preferences - User Preferences click Mail, and make a change in the “Local address books” field (specify another PAB).

Not sure about getting rid of it though.

OK, thank you! What puzzels me though, is that when searching my “Local address books” for a spesific name, it seems that my local address book (names.nsf) is not considered, only the additional address books entered via the peferences…?

In File → Preferences → User Preferences → mail drop down.

What does it specify in here.

Mine is names.nsf which is my personal address book, and a secondary address book.

Also in File → Mobile → Edit current Location → Mail Tab

check that Recipient name lookup is set to exhaustively check all address books.
