Loading a Navigator in it's designated and calling Frame

Good Day Folks,

I was wondering if there is a way to launch one Navigator into the same frame as the calling navigator.

For example, like all common apps today, I am running a left nav in a 3 frame frameset. The frames are LeftNav, MainFrame and TopNav.

I have the following as a button on my MainLeftNav;

Sub Click(Source As Navigator)

Dim workspace As New NotesUIWorkspace

Dim uidb As NotesUIDatabase

If hasRole(“[Admin]”) Then

Set uidb = workspace.CurrentDatabase Call workspace.SetTargetFrame("LeftNav")

Call uidb.OpenNavigator("(1.\NotesLeft)") Exit Sub

Else

Call workspace.SetTargetFrame("MainFrame")

Call workspace.ComposeDocument"","","NoAccessForm")

Exit Sub

End If

End Sub

Is this possible??

Thanks

Ken

Your code should work…but some of your code may be missing because ‘hasRole’ is not defined nor set in the code you supplied.

Add ‘Option Declare’ to the options section of your code to catch these sorts of compiler errors.

hasRole works fine I have “use RoleCode” in the Options section of this button.

The issue I am having is with the Navigator opening a New window and not loading into the frame I want it in.
