LN8.5 Unread Mails now in Black, instead of RED

We upgraded directly from LN6.5.6 to LN8.5 just recently. Our users noticed that unread mails now comes in bold BLACK instead of BOLD RED like in LN6.5.6. Users are asking if it can be changed back to RED.We found a way to change it back to RED, but not for user to do.

I’m against doing it but needs to justify to users and to my team. My question to developers, is there a special reason why it was changed to BLACK instead of RED? If we do start changing it to RED, will there be issues afterwards? I assume it will be overwritten anyway if we do an update, am I correct?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

I think the best choice is upgrade to 8.5.1, with that you can choose the color of unread mails in preferences.

The only way in 8.5 (as far as i know) is editing manually some files.
