LN Vers 6 no longer notices my PDF files as an application file type…how do I associate PDFs for launching with Lotus NOtes V6???

This has been happening every since I moved up to Lotus Notes (LN) Version 6. SOmeone sends me a PDF file in a note, I double click on it, and it does not recognize the application (ADOBE ACROBAT which IS on my computer) to launch the document. HELP???

Can you launch .pdf files by double-clicking them in Windows Explorer? If not, try re-installing Acrobat Reader.

I’m not aware of any file association settings in Notes so I can’t help further, sorry.

Hi there,

I had this problem once with launching word files from within Notes. Check your “file types” within Windows and make sure that PDFs are associated with Acrobat. Even if this is already selected, just try re-selecting and saving the changes. It worked for me!
