I’m using Lotus Notes client 8.5.1 FP5 on a Windows XP SP3 machine.
I applied the proper v8 mail template to the mail application. After that, the out-of-the-box Inbox design was not completely to my taste, so I customized it to my liking by adjusting things like columns visibility, order, widths and sorting. When I was happy with the way the Inbox looked, I wanted to propagate the design to the rest of the folders. I ran “Actions → Folder → Upgrade Folder Design”, I selected “Manual”, all folders, chose the Inbox design and let it go. It finished and told me all went well. However, when I checked the personal folders, all was not well. Their design was indeed upgraded, but to the “vanilla” version of my Inbox, not the one that I had carefuly customized.
Furthermore, the sorting had not been applied at all. I had customized the Inbox view to be sorted by date descending, but the personal folders all appeared unsorted (“categories grouping” style).
Please help me address the issues above, namely to apply the customized Inbox design to the personal folders, including the sorting.
