The encoding used by LMBCS really puzzled me. I found that Notes used three types of encoding for the same Traditional Chinese character:
When inputting the character through agent on the server, the encoding scheme used is Japanese (Group 10).
When inputting the character through agent in the client, the encoding scheme used is Simplified Chinese (Group 13).
When manually typing the character into a text field in the client, the encoding scheme used is Traditional Chinese (Group 12).
So, although the three characters are the same, they are reported as different in Notes.
Really strange! How would this problem be solved?
