Hi, reading more post, on linux installation, and I believe that I cannot install Domino 6.0.3 on Linux Workstation that use RedHat not equal to 7.2. Is right?
I tried to install Domino 603 following the “famous” redbook, on a PC with RedHat 9.a with recent patches and j2re1.4.2_01 but at the moment to launch /opt/lotus/bin/server it failed with some error of java launcher…
Any idea?
Thanx in advance.

Not to “rain on your parade”, but officially RedHat 9 is not supported. This URL gives a table of the versions and what os’es will work:

now that some people have been able to get RH 9 to work. I personally have been able to install RH 7.3 and get Notes 6.5 to work – I did not have to get the latest updates or anything either – I did a new os install and then installed RH 7.3 on a test box.
HTH – Cheers

Thank you for the link… In one reply of same post i find a system variable to set in the .bash_profile’s notes user, and next the installation go and finish regulary.
So, I suppose that many problem in recent redhat release are caused because the kernel is major of 7.2.
The specific link that solve the problem is:
