Linux 7.3/LD 6.0.2/NSF's throught IE

Hi! Just last Saturday, I migrated from ND5.0.9 on Linux RH7.3 to ND6.0.2 on Linux RH7.3, too.

All works good, except accesing NSF’f throught Internet Explorer. (on 5.0.9 this works), and specifically with JavaApplets.

I installed j2re1.4.2_05 and linked /opt/lotus/notes/latest/linux/jvm/bin/java to /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_05/bin/java, but all same: when I access, v.g., names.nsf, I doesn´t see the left frame when should appear People,Groups,Server, etc.

Note: immediately finish installation, I accesed names.nsf and it works, but only one time. So rare!

Somebody have fixed this problem?

I am running 6.5.2 on the same OS and I can reach all elements without a problem. I did not even have to change the JRE as well.

Thank you. I make test with it, and it’s true, it works. But I have the restriction with a backup software, Legato, that not supports ND 6.5 Thank you again.

The problem was solucionated. I said that I was migrated the server from ND5.0.9 to ND6.0.2. Well, I have a volume with the whole directory /notesdata, and it directory contents a directory called "domino". I installed other server and copy it from that fresh install to the production server , and java applets works.    Maybe LotusDominio Install guide should include a note about that.

There is a whole section on java in the admin help of R6. Take a look there, but I think you DO have a java version issue.
